The Center for Community Health and Well-Being, Inc. inclusive of The Birthing Project Clinic and it's Programs is not sponsored by, affiliated with or in anyway related to Birthing Project USA.

The Center for Community Health and Well-Being, Inc. is a health and human services agency that was founded in 1988 as The Birthing Project, an all volunteer, community service project to lower infant mortality in Sacramento. We have grown to include a comprehensive  women's health clinic and risk reduction programs for young women.  The Center was incorporated in 1991.

Originally  established  to reduce the high  mortality  rate among  African  American  babies, the Center now serves all of our community's diverse populations.

We actively engage community residents in identifying our needs; planning, implementing and evaluating services and working collaboratively with other agencies, organizations and individuals to improve and maximize our health status.
